This has to be what I would consider the WORST EVER example of taking a vehicle's very essence away.
Spider, you're absolutely right. Do not doubt the H2. Probably the ONLY true drawback (okay, two drawbacks) it has from the H1 is that it's a gasoline engine (less torque than the diesel) and its narrower and taller chassis means it can't sidehill as well as the H1.
What does this mean? The H2 is definitely the better choice for yuppie families who never intend to off-road it.
I'm all for tricking-out a truck or SUV, so long as the thing really wasn't designed to go off-road. But the H2 WAS designed to go off-road, it's just a narrower, more user-friendly version of the H1 at HALF THE PRICE. Indeed, I find it every bit as useful as the H1 for 99% of the time.
Largest wheels I'd ever put on there. 20s. . . but they'd have to be wrapped in 35 inch tires, first.
Otherwise, wasteful.
HERE is a prime example of what a person SHOULD do with an H2:

There you have it. THAT is what people should be doing to this already well-equipped off-road monster.
5.5 inches of lift via a Skyjacker kit means you can shove up to 39" tires under there.
Would I do this if I buy a Hummer H2? Hell YES.
