Ok I just want to make sure that I am not wrong here. I am selling the v-tec controller to one of my friends who has a 2000 or 2001 Prelude, I am not sure. Now one of his friends told him that if he doesn't have stuff done to his engine then he won't know the difference. Next his friend took him for a ride in his civic that has the v-tec installed and was cutting him off at 6000rpm's .
Am I wrong for thinking that v-tec when hooked up right will work right even w/o other mods done to the engine???

No I don't know if the prelude is 2000 or 2001. But that doesn't matter. What I want to know is, the v-tec should make a difference w/o any other mods done to the engine, Right???
oh sorry I miss read your post. Um yeah it shouldnt make a difference whether he has mods or not. But if its a vtec controller from your civic i dont think it will work with the prelude. but im no expert
