Window Tinting????
Window Tinting????
Been trying to get my windows tinted but not sure where to go. Have seen some civics without the breaklight in the rear window tinted, I don't want that. I want the ones that have the entire window tinted. -NO bubbles. How much should that run with all five windows tinted? Any suggestion on location (Bay Area, California.) thanx if you dont want them to put that hole where the brakelight is.... you gotta take off your rear deck so that the light isn't there, b/c with the light there they can't get their tools in there to tint it..... i think they have a DIY on how to do it in the section.

same situation here as Staticfree, they took the deck off themselves and tinted it, but of course, it took them longer to do it.
i would talk to people in your area that have had tint done, and see there experience, or i would pick a shop, and ask to see any of there work.
i paid $100 for my limo tint, but thats because a friend hooked me up, otherwise it would have cost $150. i wouldn't pay more than $150, but thats just me.

um in the bay area, i know a place called suntint in santa rosa that does a really good job of tinting windows, call him and he will quote you over the phone, ive had 3 cars tinted by him and they all turned out flawless.
I sure wish my car was newer

white2K2EX has a point, if the tinter doesn't take the deck off, then they might not be the person you want to get to tint your car. however, if you do find a good place, but they want to charge you extra for removing the deck, then i would go ahead and remove the deck myself, you really shouldn't have to pay extra though.
also, i would get the car tinted on a nice, sunny day, i noticed that tint cures to the windows better, and faster when its hot and sunny outside.

check with your honda dealer too. sometimes they have some tint company they work with for their cars. all the new civics off the lot on my dealership has an option for rear and rear side tints for C$100. and its a good company they work with too! plus they know how to take off the deck and put it back together properly.
