JD Power Quality ranks Honda in top 3
JD Power Quality ranks Honda in top 3
linkage
Honda ranked 3rd, only beat by Porsche(#1) and Toyota(#2).
I found it funny that the focus was mentioned for its horrible quality issues.
Honda even ranked higher than BMW. On another note, Mercedes has done so bad with quality that Dodge and Chrysler even ranked higher than it. Apparently its quality rating was dragged down because of the M-Class and E-Class which are notorious for problems. Land Rover was second to last, only beat by Kia, which doesnt say much. Looks like the bling blingin are actually crap.

Long-term quality often translates into money won or lost for automakers. Ivers said Honda's reputation for durability translates to a $1,500 premium in the new car market, with a even larger premium in used vehicles.
This will quash any such utterances of the superiority of domestic carrmakers, and how Hondas are now unreliable and overpriced. (My Honda's problem free, no rattles, no nothin)
I never liked Mercedes too. My parents had a 560sel and it was such a crappy car ...my civic's so much better. Audi's deteriorated quickly too it said.
Of the top 6 vehicles, 4 were Toyota ...impressive, though I still can't stand Toyotas. Get more racing joy riding bigwheels then you would in a Toyota.

Yeah, you always hear about German engineering this and that and people think their exhaust doesn't stink. However, their reliability is subpar.
As for the rankings, I already know where honda stands after 10 yrs of ownership.

Porsche is #1 because the engines are reliable, the rest of the car has way to much crap in way to small of an area! I've worked on them, and thats why I absolutly HATE porsche. I've lost more blood and skin to those Pain In the A$$ piece-o-Shiets then any other single car manufacture. At this point, the only thing I ever want to do with a porsche deals with a Very tall cliff and a Box of TNT.

I wonder if Honda's rating would have even better if they took the 7th gen Civics out of the survey. Not saying our cars are bad, but they do have their share of issues (although mine is running just fine right now).
I was just glad to see a lot of the japanese cars up at the top. Nissan right there behind you all at #4!! We have our share of issues too but I love when the die hard domestic fans try to rag on our cars. I just ask them how many times they have had to take their cars in for recalls!!!

Meh...
Honda is... well unimpressive.
Their dealerships service standards are an absolute joke. Their civics are cheaply made and they fall short of meeting the standards of quality expected by consumers looking towards the japanese market...
I shoulda bought a toyota...
Some would say "well at least you don't drive a chevy", true, but lets not use that as a cruch to avoid areas needing improvement on hondas part...
