just got back from the SOOBY dealer
and i gots my first close up of the new STI. WOW
can i say that the STI is one beautiful machine. i messed around with it, turned it on in the showroom, what a nice tone to the exhaust, the guage too! wow that guage cluster is unreal, the needles doin a fulll right to left before they settle in. i love my civic but i would trade it in a sec for that machine, one day, as soon as my car is payed for, i'll have one. i suggest if you have a sooby dealer near you to go look at the sti if they have one and take in the great sites.

<-------- Waiting and praying for 2006 R35 GT-R
Not that its not an amazing machine (it is, anything that pumps 300 HP from a 4 banger, turbo or not is a feat in itself), but I just can't help being mildly amused that after all the hype, the advantage of seeing the competition, and having time to make changes to one up the Evo, every comparison review puts the Evo a little bit a head. I'm sure its great (I haven't driven either) either way, but I think it got a little rushed to market. I wouldn't be surprised if things get tweaked differently next year to make the car feel a little better... cuz the power certainly is there, the consensus seems to be though that the Evo is more stable.

ya thats true, all the reviews i have seen have the evo8 slightly ahead, but we must remember that is with profesional drivers pushin it to the limit, 95% of the time i wont be hittin some roads with 20 sbends in 1 mile, mostly i will be in straight lines on city streets showin little punx what the car has. i guess it all depends on what you want it for.
