Re: Intake for 2012 fit
All the 1.8L engines for the 8thgen were the same across all trims equipped with it (i.e. all trims excluding the Si, natural gas, or hybrid models). If you're looking for an intake, anything that's made for the lx/dx/ex will work.
here's a breakdown of the differences:
DX: Base model 1.8L SOHC I4 (R18 engine). Had power windows, super basic stereo system with 4 speakers, 15" rims
LX: all the DX features plus AC, auto-locking doors, CD/MP3 player, body colored door handles, 16" rims
EX: All the LX features plus moonroof, 6 speakers, ambient temp display, steering wheel radio controls, intermittent wipers
EX-L: EX features, but with leather (heated) seats and steering wheel
Chassis is a bit of a different story
FG1: non-Si coupe
FG2: Si coupe
FA1: non-Si Sedan
FA3: Hybrid
FA5: Si Sedan

Re: Intake for 2012 fit
Thanks, well now I'm quite excited to do the install. There is also some hardware attached to the original intake that doesn't seem to fit the new cold air Stainless steel housing. I don't think it will throw on the engine light but fingers crossed.
