Si exhaust

Hello all, I am new to the forum and just wanted to say hello to all 👋🏼

Just bought a used complete exhaust from an 8th gen. So far I only installed the muffler. The sound is mild but if I install the rest of the cat back, will this made it sound better and give me better performance? Or just leave the stock as is....

Re: Si exhaust

you might gain a little bit from it. OEM exhaust for the R18 engine-equipped trims is just under 2", while the Si exhaust is right around 2.25"

Seems like the axleback is a direct bolt on, but the midpipe, you'll have to have a bit hacked off and a flange welded in to fit.

From what I've read, max recommended exhaust size is pretty on par with what I was used to with the 7thgen D17, 2.25 is the sweet spot, 2.5" at the most. You may lose a bit on the low end, but you'll gain in the top end.

I own a 2007 civic si coupe, looking to invest in an aftermarket catback exhaust, what would you recommend

Re: Si exhaust

I've never owned a car with a K20 under the hood, so I couldn't recommend one with any merit.
