Considering a 2010 Civic with over 250K Miles
Hi all,
I considering buying a 2010 Civic with over 250K. I'm a fan of Honda and have had good experience with my 2006 Honda Odyssey. I have over 200K miles on it before a small fender bender totaled it.
I found that 2009 and below had major engine problems that was fixed in 2010 and 2011. I assume that's true.
The car I'm considering is in great shape cosmetically, so it seems the owner (original) took really good care of it, assuming engine maintenance also.
But should I be concerned buying one with this much mileage on it. The price point is great (per KBB, I'd be buying in alignment with their valuation - $3000).
Wanted to get some thoughts from other Civic owners before I pull the trigger.
Thanks.

Re: Considering a 2010 Civic with over 250K Miles
Personally, I wouldn't pay $3k for any car with over 200k mile on it. Though the used car market is ridiculous now and it seems that everyone is asking too much for their high mileage cars.
