I got a vespa :)
Yup thats right. A 76 vespa scooter. My aunt said I could have it for free. It has been in her garage for 20 years. The best part is, it is mint
Here is a pic of the year and what it looks like. More pics to come soon when I get it to my house.

bhaz413, there's a couple shops in CT that opened up recently just for Vespas...I've been trying to get mine up and running actually...it's a 59 GS150 - I could probably get the motor started if I could find a carb for it - apparently when I got it it was running minus those parts...but it needs a lot of work...congrats dude! My dad has a mint one that needs a new cable for the clutch...she ran fine for the 20 minutes the cable held out lol
There's also one shop in Belerica, MA that services scooters, but they're a little different...there's a whole culture involved with Vespas. There's also a local club up here called the Boston Stranglers. They ride on sundays usually.
Aside from the two shops in CT, the next closest one is in New Jersey and Baltimore. Most of the shops know the other shops since the East Coast isn't heavily populated with Vespa owners. Although Scooters Originali is so loaded the reconditioning department is backed up a full 2 years for restorations. Many people are buying them and just putting them on the wait list, not caring on pricing for repair or time involved.
There's a shop that was due to open up in the Hamptons on Long Island, but they'll be selling mostly new ones. The good part though is they're also an authorized Vespa repair shop.
Hey, let me know if it's a Vespa or a Piaggio - after a certain year, Vespa was bought out and they've been badged Piaggio ever since...the new bikes are Piaggios but they resurrected the Vespa badge because of its popularity...
