Drove the rig for the first time today

For the first time, I drove the big rig today w/ trailer. It was awsome! Its scary, yet at the same time you feel powerful behind the wheel. I was driving around the city streets of Albany NY. Driving around wasnt that bad, just need to have enough time to stop and take the turns wider. However, whatever I learned driving with my 5 speed, you toss out the window. I had to learn to shift from scratch. Im talking about double clutching (which isnt that bad) but also knowing what gear to use, and was RPM range/mph range you are going to use for that gear, cause if you dont, it wont get into gear

BTW I was driving a double axle, day cab with a inline 10 twin turbo. Talk abouts tq....

Whoa..thats crazy. I had to drive a moving truck once and it felt like I had no control. Couldnt imagine driving a big rig.
