Ummm, potholes S*CK

Ever since switching to a car from a SUV, I really notice those damn potholes. I thought I was going to have a bent rim when I drove into Boston the other day. I was on the Zeacum (the new friggen one) bridge lower deck. I couldn't swerve to avoid it...SLAM...it was horrible. Now I have an unusual vibration in the drivetrain too. Damn...

I think I'll have to get a lift kit and some 30" super swampers for my car...

PS - 45,000 miles in less that a year. Is that a record?

Potholes suck. Here up North we get a ton of them, especially after cold winters. In the South the roads are so so smooth. It's crazy! Anyway, I end up slamming into a few of them every now and then. Sometimes it messes up the alignment. Sometimes it messes up the balance of the wheels/tires. Lately I've been driving with my winter tires on, so I kinda don't notice them as I used to. They're 14" or 15" (can't remember) wheels, so they've got enough rubber on them to take up large impacts.
