PSI Import Tuning in Worcester, MA
Hey, I was just wondering if any of you guys have used them? I noticed on the North East section we got a bunch of people right in Worcester, so your input would be appreciated. Basically I was looking to install a compustar alarm; and they are authorized, but when I call their store no one picks up, not even an answering machine. That kind of indicates to me that they aren't very reputable (i.e. don't want to deal with customer service). I'll most likely look at Viper or Clifford, but any info on this store is appreciated.

I've never heard of the name. Where are they located? I know of pretty much all the shops in the worcester area and have never heard of them... Do you know who runs / owns it?

Hey Havok,
The shop is located at 1095a Main Street. I haven't gone by the store to check it out, but it comes up under Yahoo Yellow Pages and was one of the listings CompuStar gave me as authorized dealers.
*oh yeah, no idea who owns it or anything*
Any suggestions of places to install an alarm? I'm not completely sold on any brand, but was thinking Compustar, Clifford, or Viper.
Thanks

I know Sound Sensation (sp?) in Auburn does decent work...
Not sure on prices, but thats about the only Audio shop I would even think about trusting to do it....
I haven't heard of any on Main Street. Personally, I might shy away from a brand new place... I wouldn't want anyone "learning" on my car... Then again, they may be a decent place. Take a stop by and see what the shop looks like and see if they can show you examples of their work...
Let me know how it turns out...

Aight, so i stopped by the other day. It's a narrow store (small) that shares its building with two other cars shops. The price is reasonable, it would cost $540 for the 2WFM-AS which includes remote start, an larger strobing winshield LCD, and tilt sensors. The installer told me that they've been around for 4 years and they primarily do engine swaps; e.g. K20 (the RSX engine) into Civic etc.
They didn't have any cars with the alarms to show me, but they do guarantee everything to function properly for as long as I own the car and they are CompuStar authorized. Oh yeah, I dunno how obvious this is, but he is MECP certified.
because splicing wires will void my honda warranty, I asked the guy how they do the wires. He told me that he doesn't just twist teh wires together, sauder (sp), and use electrical tape, but instead uses some sort of plastic chip thing for each wire that attaches to the exposed area and to make teh connection each of those clips has a male and female connector. Something like that.
I'm going to drop by there again today... I'll let you guys know what's up

I got my alarm installed from them since my last post. Everything seems fine, but I guess the real test will be if everything works 2-3 years down the line (I think it will). The LED light wasn't available at the time of install, so I had to go back. While waiting for them to install the light I was shooting the sh*t with another customer/ friend of the mechanics. He told me he did a engine swap for his 6th gen civic and was having them install the turbo he bought.
I'd rate my initial experience with PSI as good overall.
