So damn fast. I'm at 4.5 psi right now. At 3psi I pulled on a Supra TT in 1st and 2nd. He passed me in 3rd.

Lookin good Joe. You might consider putting wire mess over the intercooler. One of the guys here had to do that with his Eclipse cause the rubber (around piping) got slashed by road debrigh (sp?). It is also harder to see the intercooler then. So you're gonna have to post some times on your runs. See what that thing can do.

hmm, well thanks for the heads up. I think the next thing I buy will be exhaust wrap for the exhaust manifold. thing gets crazy hot, the water steamed off the hood at the car wash haha.
One good thing about turbos...my car heats up from freezing cold in only a couple minutes. Fuel economy isn't too bad either. Now I have a fast econobox lol.

I don't think I have a warranty to begin with. Why would it pose an issue? Will the manifold just get way too hot?

Good point Black. The wrap traps in moisture which will cause rust/rot due to moisture, metal, temp changes, salt, etc.... Even stainless can rust with the right conditions....
Joe, you have a good point too, I don't think SF even provides a warranty.... Then again, I think they have a pretty good reputation on the boards that if it did happen, I'm sure they would help you out some how (as evident of your current problems)....

I'm also considering a carbon fiber hood, where there's a scoop towards the front, to let the heat out. That may be my best bet.
ohh yeah and the cold air is running sweet. tell your friend i said thanx again for the help. neither of us thought it would be all that much work for just a CAI but hey 4 hrs later were done. one kid said it took 6 hrs alone to finish. AEM said its only 1 1/2 hr install... yeah right, we worked non stop..

I know you guys worked tirelessly. But I'll def let him know you said thanks.
For an update... 142miles and still have more than half a tank. And yes I have been pushing it more than necessary. You guys gotta feel the car at the next meet. It just feels so smooth I can't describe it.

The Escort Solo II is pretty nice. The first two days I was driving around and couldn't find a speed trap. Just my luck huh. Anyhow it did go nuts on the highway when a cop wizzed by me. ya thanks again
