Well, I might as well post this... I popped the question a while back to Maggie and she accepted.
This weekend I told my parents about our engagement.
I have this long list of things that need to get done before me and Maggie can live together as a married couple, but I find myself checking things off quite nicely.
My whole life is changing for the better and I'm so freakin' happy.

Holy Crap...
I guess I have been out of the loop...
Congratulations and I wish you and Maggie the best! You're a good guy Grey, I know you'll make each other very happy.
Maybe one of these days I'll even get to meet her

ps - I'm just still kinda stunned...Oh BOY that means a batchelor party needs to be arranged (j/k)

Now that the shock is over......
True that, congrats man!!!!! I'm happy that you and Maggie feel the same about each other. My only advice is to try and take things somewhat slow since you have your whole lives in front of you still, since you are both pretty young...
So where is the wedding?!?!?!?! I know who the best man will be!!!! ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
C'mon man, details, details........... When did u propose?
Congrats again Meehow.....

Thanks guys.
I proposed about two months ago. It was kinda funny 'cause I said it like this, "Would you marry me?". I said it in Polish, but I kinda translated it directly from English. In Polish it meant, "Would you want to marry me? (as in the future)". She said, "Yes!" right away. Although five minutes passes and I'm thinking that it's a done deal and she asks, "Wait, are you serious!?".
Then I kinda improved my proposal and asked her in a lengthy way and I told her what I felt. Then she said, "Yes!" as in I'll marry you now. It was cute.
We're getting married in Poland in her home town of Chelm. It means "Helmet". Hehe...
That'll be our church wedding. We're doing the whole civic wedding thing here in MA. I don't know which town yet. Either Worcester or Shrewsbury. It will probably be the 22nd of November.
As for the job... I'm looking for one and I plan to find one. Soon. I need to make more than $7.25 and hour to be able to be Maggie's sponsor for the immigration papers (shouldn't be a problem). So I'm looking for something that pays and that's stable now and I'll be looking for a career-oriented job as I work.

Whoa. Congrats Michal! This definitely comes as a shock. And I agree with Keith..you'd wanna take it slow. So yeah..give us details!
Whoops..a little slow with my reply.
I'd suggest if you wanna just get some experience on your resume, start with a temp agency. Depending on where you can get the job, you can make at least $10 easy doing simple stuff like data entry. Good luck!

Temp agency, eh? I'll have to give that a try. I have my resume made up. Your work involves looking at resume's, right? Want to take a look at mine and give me some feedback?
As for taking it slow... We're 100% sure of this and we love each other to pieces.
It's a sure thing. No need to take it slow.

I'll only offer a poem...
Untitled
You finally found each other
for it's hard to find true love
This bond you make is forever
to the one you're certain of.
You've chosen to let love grow
from this day more than the last
and should this pattern reciprocate
your love will surely surpass
All the strife that your life entails
to replace it with care and devotion
So soon will two hearts ring as one
and share in each other's emotion
True love lies far beyond the will
yet you must choose to love;
each day to put aside the self
and with your angel move
- Phil
PS: You're definitely getting a blender for your wedding present, don't even try to escape it...

Hell yeah I will. I just need to straighten out a few things first though. Once everything settles down I'll slide back into going to meets and what not...
And yes, I'll accept the lotion. LOL
