We left my place at 7:30AM. Oops!
I didn't get drunk at all 'cause we couldn't get a hold of Danielle. We had her old number.
Some 40 cars were there. People? Maybe 60? ???

Oh yeah, slightly bent rim too. Not too bad though. It was a good time though. Chenz blew his engine. Oops! We stopped by the side of the road along with the rest of the group to check it out. We couldn't wait too too long though 'cause we wanted to actually make the meet. We got there at around 4:00PM or so... We were tired as all hell.
The road to that place (91 South and all that jazz) was some ****ed up repugnant ****. $11.45 in tolls was as far as I counted. It might have been more. On the way back we took I-83 to I-81 to I-84 and that worked out better. Not too much traffic. Only a buck for a bridge and then a little of the mass pike. How did that turn out with respect to mileage Joe? The same? A little more? ???

Yeah yeah, I know... I don't think I would have wanted to see what went on in that room, no. I was all set with food and TV and sleep. Now that hit the spot.

Sam what kind of camera do you have? I am in the market for a higher quality digital camera. The quality of those pics are amazing, even at highway speeds! Great job.

It took me 8 hours to get home from MD. It was good meeting you guys, and re-meeting some of you. I'm still tired from all that driving and ****. Considering all the ****, we still made some good time.

It was early in the morning and I was tired and not thinking clearly....
On a side note, the other pic of my car cruising on the highway looks sick....kinda like a honda advertisement pic.

Sam: Can you send that pic file to Mystic3030@aol.com?
I cant seem to download it for some reason from the site.

This is a phat pic. I like the side mirror shot.
Yeah, the ride there sucked. Left at 6:00 AM and got there at 4:00 PM..all on 3 hours of sleep.
The meet was pretty cool. I was expecting more of a BBQ type event though. No one had any of my homemade potato salad that I spent 3 hours making the night before.
The hotel I end up getting was nice. Was maybe a 10 minute drive from the main hotel. Me and my girl ended up getting some dinner at a nice Chinese Rest and watching some Extreme Elimination Challenge.
Actually before we went to the hotel, I had to take out some $$$ cause I forgot to before the trip. There was one of those stupid drive-up ATMs right next to the main hotel. I took the wrong lane (teller lane), so had to cut into the ATM lane. Thought I had enough room but those lanes are damn small! All of a sudden, I hear "SSKKKKUUURRTTT" and my rear end was up on the curb. I was just like "FAWK! There goes my brand new wheels!" Got out and took a look. Luckily I both the tires that I bought. The Yokohamas I got had that Rim Protector Bar so there was just some minor scratches on the tire and the wheel was protected. Well, there was tiny grain of rice sized mark at the very edge of the rim, but nothing that I'm too concerned about. So me and my girl decide to take our time heading back to Boston. MeeHow was supposed to give me a call before your guys left, but he didnt. :P Good job finding the new route home though. Was very scenic and the roads were nice and paved. (Haha..sorry Joe) We decided that since we spent such a long time getting down to MD, might as well make it a real trip. Checked out of our hotel at around 11 and found a nice diner/restaurant about 5-10 miles up 83. Checked out a few shops too. Got back on the road at around 2:30. Was a beautiful ride for a few hours, then the rain came on and off. And this was like hurricane type rain. The Yokohama ES100s were holding up real well though. I was still travelling around 60-80 mph with no problems. Ride was very smooth.
We then decided to stop off for some dinner when we hit NY at around 5 pm. Got off at an exit and pulled up to Twin Top Restaurant (I think it was called). Was pulling up to the entrance to the parking lot kinda quick, and there was this kinda big puddle right at the 'mouth' of the entrance, but being the badass (dumbass) that I am, I thought I could blow into with my nice new tires. Happens that the puddle was actually a nice pot hole, and since it was at the start of an incline, the hit I took was much harder than it wouldve been on a flat road.
Freakin bent the rim. Its not bad though. I think it can be fixed without too much of a problem (MeeHow?
)Other than that, the rest of the drive went smoothly. Didnt see a cop except for one on the other side of the highway right around the CT/NY border. Got home at around 10:30.
Havent downloaded my pics yet. Unfortunately I didnt get any rolling caravan pics. Shouldve had my girl take some.
I'll try to get what I have posted some time tonight. One thing I totally forgot to do was check out Dan's ride. I saw it parked there and was thinking that I recognized it, and I think I even saw Dan get in and out of it, but I was just so out of it after the drive that I didnt even realize what I was looking at. Oh well, maybe next time.

Damn dude, damaged wheels already!? Argh! That sucks. I don't know about a bent rim. One can fix it, but it requires a lot of force. It's best to go to a professional if you want it to be 100% again. Yep, I forgot to call. Why didn't you call? Oh wait, you did. So... What's the problem? The alternate route rocked, right? I think that's THE route to take. No more of this I-95 BS. Sorry Alex. Hehe...
