Louisville, KY area.....
There is a small possibility my gf and I may be come down to the Louisville or nearby area for jobs once we graduate in May. I was curious if anyone had some input on some good areas to look for apartments. Whether in the city, or in the surrounding areas, I just don't know much about the area. I have some distant relatives there, and I mean distant, so I'm not calling them up.
If any of you got some suggestions on areas to look at, that would be a huge help. I was checking out apartments.com, but that doesn't show me anything, like what type of neigborhood that I would end up living in.

Louisville is kinda wierd, i just moved down here 6 monthes ago. We live on the south end and its a little more ghetto then we anticipated. The areas are still hard for me to figure out, so my only decent generalization to give you is the East end (like St. Matthews, Middletown, etc.) seems mostly pretty nice. There is more money out that way. There are lots of places that are all of a sudden nice in other areas as well, but its hard for me to pinpoint cuz i've only lived here a short while.
I'm from Elizabethtown, 45 miles south of Louisville. My dad drives up there every day to go to work, I can ask his opinion. I'm not in E-town right now though, heh. . . I go to college too!!
