Alrighty people...so the date is set. Nov. 2, 2002 now are we gonna do it at the same place or should I find somewhere else we can do it at? I am open for anything. And also what time?

same place as last time, meet for a little food, I had fun crusing around Austin last time so I'd most likely be doing that agian. Just let me know the details and I'll get with the Houston dudes.
well since I am new to this club, where is this same place?? And what time did yah guys have in mind? Also are we going to do alittle racing at the end, just curious. But I think it would be cool to see a long line of civics drive down together down a highway. But thats just me.
OK guys, I would be down for a Nov 2nd meet as well. This time however, reserve the right hand side of the pavillion, the one that has the most parking. Whoever makes the call to Austin Parks & Recreation, and sends the check for the $30 dollar reservation, ask them about section A and B. DRJ - do you remember which section we had in July? Cause I don't remember anymore which side is section A, and which side is section B. Or, we can just pay $60, and reserve the whole area (more parking).
On a side note, I did finally get most of my audio stuff installed, but none of it is 'finished' yet, nothing is upholstered or anything yet.

Uh..... most of the people last time were form the DFW area....so here's an idea let's have it in DFW, because frankly in MHO the drive to austin and back was not worth it. No one there was from Austin! And for the Houston people its just as far to Austin as it is to DFW, so I don;t see why they would have any complaints, and next time maybe have it in Houston. Also having a meet in an open park that you pay 8 dollars to get into is whacker than anything, especially like the last one in th emiddle of the summer. We need either some sort of indoor meet, not something in a park on bunked out parking. It was pretty lame last time and I left early, the only thing I missed was getting a good look at perfectcivics ride in person, cause I wanted to check out his dash kit, the cars were mostly stock (including mine) and it wasnt worth the 8 hours of driving I had to do.
Well, I wouldn't mind staying in town for a state wide meet, but the ones who will decide to come or not will be the Houston and San Antonio people.
So what do you guys say? Willing to drive to DFW for a meet this time?

The one thing nobody can do anything about is the number of people. The only thing to do is make it a fair location as possible. As for the cost of entry, that was made known before the event, if you didn't want to pay then you should have known before the meet. The weather? Well this time it's in November so it should be nice and cool outside. As for being lame, what was wrong with it? The thread for the last meet was around for a long time before the actual date so you had plenty of time to think of things to do. Baseball, football, soccer...whatever you want to do just set it up here before the meet so people know what to bring. Post your own ideas for what you want to do. Above all else, if you don't want to come...then don't.

Park entry is $8 per car. If you want to chip in on food and drinks then bring extra money for that. Last time, $5 per person eating pretty much covered the cost of the food.

Austin is the BEST place in Texas to have this meet...great location, fun roads (hell I'd go just to drive on that one road for hours), and a nice sat. nite downtown (esp in Nov with UT chicks back up there).
Do you mean another CITY or another place in Austin instead of Emma Long?? I think it should be in Austin, but if there was a better place I would be up for that.
Any word of an "after-meet" meet yet?
