Houston Group - Good shops for 7thGen Civics

I just wanted to get an idea of some quality shops to start looking for mods at. I live in the Spring / Woodlands area but anywhere in Houston is fine. I'm going to be in the market for a 1.5 Drop, Tint... possibly an ECU and other bolt on engine mods.

As well... anyone with a 2002 civic know what happens to warranty when you start bolting on aftermarket mods?

Thanks in advance guys.

lucky you! dennis, the owner of infinite performance in the woodlands, is a member of this site. his sn is b0ost or bo0st. i'm sure he can hook you up with some good deals. there's also hocus pocus autodynamics somewhere up there, my friend used to work for them and they're decent. the warranty on those parts you modify get voided. for example: springs will void your suspension warranty, but not your engine. likewise, i/h/e would void your engine but leave the rust protection warranty intact.

for any crazy mods you can think of - h22 swap, etc. you can try Carboy or Jisatsu down in the SW side, they have a good rep for doing swaps. if you want something more hardcore than that, there's PYR, which imports spoon/mugen stuff, TODA cams, etc. I'm not sure what they carry, if anything, for our cars.

Thanks! I am not going to go too hardcore at this point. It's brand new. Only has 450 miles on it as of now. I do, however, want to get the ECU and the suspension at least. Going to look around though and see if there is a way to buy an extended warranty to cover those specific parts. I'm sure there must be a way.

Again, thanks for the info. I'll keep my out for b0ost or bo0st.

Excellent. Thanks.

I'm geussing however that after the suspension drop I am going to need an alignment and a caster/camber kit? I'm only going 1.5' though.

carboy's prices aren't too bad for me.. I just speak chinese to them

for a 1.5" drop, you probably won't need a camber kit. for springs, you might want to look into the goldlines that tornactive is selling for $115. i've heard nothing but good things about them.

Theres Endless Performance in Houston and Hyper is pretty good but know you **** if you go they can be ****** if you dont and i wouldnt go to Hocus Pocus heard some bad things about them put my friends Intake on and it fell off so he took it to them again and it fell off again so i never went there Carboy is alright but they are pricey and where in Houston are you

As far as warranty issues i have all my stuff installed from honda so EVERYTHING is still in warranty it costs a little more but my headers intake and VTEC controller are in and if i have a problem with the engine its all under warranty and i dont have to take anything off....i got my car Clearlake Honda and they are really good about modding your car...in fact the guy that does all my installations drives a 9sec civic

I live in Spring. Off of louetta road. That's the ideal situation there. I don't mind shelling out a little more money as long as it's going to stay under warranty. Do you have to order the parts from Honda as well or just have them installed?

Hey dude, my actual shop isn't quite open yet. I'm waiting on my bro-in-law/partner to get back from afghanistan. I AM able to hook you up with parts now. I live right off of rayford sawdust in the woodlands. I sell eibach springs.. go with the sportlines. I have them and it sits real nice. Please e-mail or call for any inquiries. Let me know what i can do for you.
