Anyone work for a Honda dealer...

who can help me have my axles checked into? we thought we might have busted the boots upon lowering the car, and now my axles sound as if they are about to go out...with 13K on the car and 2K on the springs [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG]

Do they pop and when you turn do they pop ::? well if that is the case then you probably need some rubber bushings on them.. Mine, do that too. I have to get rubber bushings so it's not metal grinding metal.. that makes for a quieter ride...if that's not it , then go get it checked out.

Before it just sounded like a pop, and I thought all it was was the bushings. I was going to upgrade to polyurethane anyways. Now there is a metallic sound to it.

I am a Honda tech. If your joints make a metallic ticking sound when you go around corners, you need new joints. I am not sure if that would be warrantied or not. THat is one of the things the Service Mnager makes a decision on. I can make a decision on lots of things that are simple for warranty. I am not really sure about what Popping sound you are talking about.

You know, Turtle, it just so happens I am in Atlanta this weekend spending time with some CSi friends. Think you might be interested in listening to it?? The more I listen to it the more I am convinced it is the tie rods, but I'd love a 2nd opinion [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
