Rep Power: 0 I'm down for the 20th!
htown - there is a new 1/8 mile drag strip about 25 miles North of Dallas on I-30. They have a lot of open run days. Ennis also has play days, but I'm not sure when they are.

Rep Power: 0 Ok, the 20th seems to be the most popular choice. So, July 20th at Emma Long park in Austin. Check out the individual threads here on the site for more details for each city's plans.

Rep Power: 0 Ok, July 20th it is. We still need somebody in Austin that knows the park to take charge. Greg will be in charge of organzing the Dallas people. I'm in charge of Houston. If you are from Austin and would like to organzie (meaning reserve space at the park, be the 1st one there to set everything up, that kinda stuff) the meet please E-MAIL ME!!!! I need to know how much it will cost to reserve space for us and if there is an entry fee. We can all meet at the park first and then select some people and go get food or bring food. Which ever one ya'll want to do. Everybody should chip in some for the food. Bring soccer *****, foot *****, or anything like that. That capture the flag sounds like a cool idea! Oh and everybody should put some kinda name tag on thier car so we all know eachother...

Rep Power: 0 I'm not sure, but I wouldn't count on the Austin people to set up the park arrangements. Looking at the Texas check-in thread, I only noticed one person from Austin. Just in case, I'll get the number and info for the park tomorrow.

Rep Power: 0 Johnathon - If I remember correctly, cost to reserve the half of the pinic tables we had in November was $30.00. You have to mail City of Austin Parks & recreation a check, and call them up first to reserve it.
Website is here.
Not sure on the number though. I got the last one the time I went down the week before the meet, from the guy who was at the checkin booth.
EDIT : Number is 512-974-9692. Call them to reserve it @ such and such time, for X number of hours on July 20th.

Rep Power: 0 Ok cool, let us know when you have reserved it. I think everybody should chip in to cover the 30 dollar reservation fee (or how ever much it is). Maybe like we each give you back a dollar or two, depending on how many people show. Also, does it cost anything to get into the park?

Rep Power: 0 Last I remember, the park had some sort of donation bin at the entrance, not really any enforced entry fee. I'll check to see if thats changed though.

Rep Power: 0 Johnathon - You only remember the donation bin thingy becasue when you showed up last time, the guy at the front gate wasn't there, he was busy dealing with the fire trucks and police that showed up cause the guy drowned. There is a per car charge to enter the park, but it was only like 5 or 7 dollars each car.

Rep Power: 0 I need an approximate count of how many people are going to show up in order to complete the reservation paper work. E-mail me at jwendt@prodigy.net if you are planning to attend.
