Rep Power: 0 well i only live about an hour out so the actual time is no big deal to me. but since it's January I would say sometime in the afternoon. But I'll leave that up to the people that have a good drive to get there.
ill come as long as im not working.
any other 04 owners? specifically with stock (not painted) headlights that would be interested in trading and maybe $10 for my painted ones? ill swap them out right there in the parking lot if someone wants them. -reason is because ive decided to trade my car in, and this would help someone who wants black headlights but doesnt want to spend the time, otherwise ill leave them in because i doubt the dealer will notice.

Need advice on selling a custom Civic
Hi guys, newbie here...
I recently won a contest online, and this is what I won:

That was the good news -- sorta -- except that the taxes are going to kill me(federal, state, and sales tax on $42,250 adds up pretty quick). So much so that I can't afford to keep the car.
So, I'm looking for advice on whether you all think it's even worth it to try to sell this in Georgia. After reading this thread, it sounds like there isn't a huge modified car community here, let alone anyone who is into custom cars *and* this particular band (and who also has around $30k lying around...).
My first thought was ebay, of course, but there were actually ten of these cars made and given away for the civictour, and one of the other winners has already tried putting his on ebay and it still hasn't sold after about 4 or 5 listings already...
Any thoughts? My mother lives in Florida, and I was thinking maybe I should try to sell it down there where there may be a larger community of people who are into both custom cars *and* Dashboard Confessional (since the lead singer Chris Carrabba grew up and started his first band in South Florida).
I'm mainly just looking for your opinions since you all have more experience with the Georgia community (or lack thereof?) than I do...
P.S. FYI - there is a car show at Kennesaw State coming up in March. Not much info yet, but there is a registration form here: http://www.ksukab.com/KAR%20Show.htm.
