I bet you'll do great. I'll be at the show this summer too. When your in the judging lanes I'll make sure to bring you something to drink cuz' last year Gray and I almost died of heat stroke cuz' it took like over 2hours just to get ot the judges.
But, on the whole "VEGAS" note.... I'll be representing Cooke-vegas thank you! ^.~
Even if you think you don't have a chance, thats not the reason to show anyways. Show because you're proud of your car and you enjoy the sport...thats what I did in my last car. I knew I really didn't have a chance, but screw it, its nice just to be able to chill at the ride inside the place. Well, its only a month away now. Is everyone gettin' hotel rooms? Maybe we should have a party? I'm always down for a party.
no other town sounds good with vegas added to it other than Greeneville i.e. G-vegas...IMO. on another note Ingen, put your car in the show. its good just to get the exposure.

There's plenty to do here in Chattanooga, but nobody ever wants to make the trip to see it. I think we have enough people between nashville and knoxville to make a decent meet in chatta. if anyone was interested. I'd even put together some things to do and places to go if we had enough people committed.
Bellz, I'm always down for a road trip. Plus I got friends in Chatty that I haven't seen in a minute that I need to see anyways. And hell, if you wanna make a small to-do list or something, that'd be cool. Chatty is a nice city to sight see!

Sounds good to me. The more people we can get, the better. I guess we'd need a couple weeks to make sure people can ask off and make plans for a short trip.
I have the perfect place to park everyone and there's plenty of stuff to see/do within walking distance. It's a place right in the middle of downtown, on the river, called Coolidge Park.
http://www.chattanooga.gov/cpr/parks/CoolidgePark.htm
After that, we could go on a quick trip through Chickamauga Park (http://www.nps.gov/chch/), then drive up to Cloudland Canyon (http://ngeorgia.com/parks/cloudland.html) and see the sights there.
You'd DEFINATELY want to bring your camera for all these places!
Total driving time from Chatta. to Chicka. to Cloudland would be about 1hr 15min. And probably spending an hour or two downtown, maybe an hour or less in the park, and as long as we want at Cloudland. It does cost a few bucks per car to get into Cloudland, FYI.
I also have an alternate plan if you wanted to bypass the Chickamauga Park.
It would take us up Lookout mtn and across it to cloudland. It's a very nice drive.
How about May 22nd? That would give 2 weeks notice.

Bellz, great planning. That sounds like a helluva day. I could easily do that.
Injen, I'm still gonna be at Slammin' n' Jammin' for sure on saturday. Prolly not on sunday, since I'm not entering and payin' to get in 2 times just isn't worth it for me. Saturday is when the bikini contest is anyways...

Okay, it's official. It's on the 22nd at noon. Here's the official thread. I'll be updating it later with driving instructions. All you'll need is some money for getting into the park (a few bucks, i think. I'll find out) and money for eating out when we get back from the road trip. Be sure to bring your camera/camcorder.
Everybody reply to this thread if you're able to come!
