2016 Civic brake fluid change due already!?

Hi

I have a 2016 Civic and the maintenance minder came on with A17 recently.

According to the manual the 7 in A17 means replace brake fluid.

The car is less than two years old. Why on earth would it be asking for new brake fluid?

Does that make sense or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

How many miles on the car?

Owners manuals used to state 3 year intervals for brake fluid, I'm not yet sure what (or if) they have gone to a mileage interval instead of, or in addition to, time based service intervals.

About 33k. I did the oil change and now I guess I'll do the brake fluid too. Just got to get access to that stupid online manual.

I think we've already been through that (https://techinfo.honda.com).......but brake fluid service is the same procedure it ever was on any other car, so that should help

Oh? That's great, cause I have the 2010 manual for my older civic. I'll have a look in there, thanks!
