Friday, May 27th
During the day, people can be driving in and checking into the hotel room. I have not gotten a group rate, or attempted to reserve rooms yet as I need to see how many people are coming.
4:00PM - 6:00PM: Checkin to hotel and get yourselves situated. I will have a list of registered participants as well as cell phone numbers for volunteer leaders for each person who shows.
6:00PM - 8:00PM: Unorganized Dinner. People can either get their own food and chill at their hotel room, or we can throw a group together to eat at any local restaurant.
8:30PM: Get together at hotel parking lot for those interested in going for a short cruise on our local Hwy 100 strip.
Party away the rest of the night!
Saturday, May 28th
8:00AM - 10:00AM: Breakfast and wakeup time. The hotel may have some kind of continental breakfast, otherwise McDonald's is always a fun choice.
10:30AM: Everyone must be at the hotel parking lot by this time in order for us to leave for our first planned drive. We will be taking a drive through some scenic back roads, with lots of forest, twists, turns, hills, and scenery. Eventually we will end up at the holy hill area to have group picture opportunities.
10:30AM - 1:00PM: Actual drive time as well as photo time.
1:00PM-2:30PM: We will drive to a local park called glacier hills county park for a cookout. This park is located on the edge of Freiss Lake and has some great scenery as well.
2:30PM-5:00PM: Second planned drive. I have not yet decided where to go for this drive, though we may head out toward the lake front and the art museum area for some group photos near Lake Michigan.
5:30PM-7:30PM: Dinner time. I plan on having this as a get together at a restaurant as a group so we can all relax, eat, and have a good time. You are responsible for your own food/drink, though we will probably just get one bill and pool everything together. Be sure to bring cash!!
7:30PM - ????: Final partying. I'm sure some hotel parties will be going on, and we can all have a good time. For those interested, a group could be put together for another hwy 100 run.
Sunday, May 29th
This is the end of the get together, and people can check out and head home in time for what's left of the memorial day weekend.
So how do you register?
Well, since this isn't a sponsored event, registration is kind of an informality in this case.
HOWEVER. Since I'm organizing this, I'd like to be able to get a solid count of people together. So this is what I'm going to have people do.
There will be a registration fee of $12.00 to cover the cost of the food and supplies for the cookout, as well as paper/ink costs for me to print up Registered member lists as well as local maps of the general area we will be driving, in case someone gets lost, etc.
The fee gets you free lunch for the cookout, as well as your member list and maps.
The cost for additional passengers is $5.00 per passenger, since they only need to cover their cookout lunch.
So this is how to register for the event.
Paypal your registration fees to S2000man01@wi.rr.com. (remember $12 for driver, $5 for each passenger)
Include this information!!
-7thgen Civic Forum/User Name
-First and Last name
-Address
-Contact Phone number
-Email address
-Emergency Contact Info (someone we can contact should you get injured, etc)
-Number of hotel rooms needed!
Also include:
-Civic Model Year, Color, and trim level. (ex, lx, si, etc)
-First and Last name of any guests/passengers you are bringing.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Upon arriving at the event, during the hotel checkin phase, I will be around the hotel parking lot area to hand out both your registration materials and a ticket stub that will be needed in order to get the free cookout lunch.
(the registration fees are not optional, and anyone who is NOT registered as either a guest or driver may not attend the group events)
The cookout will provide everything needed. I'll have the charcoal, etc, for the grill (the park has grills). It will also include all you can eat burgers, buns, potato chips, soda, plates, napkins, ketchup, mustard.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I will need volunteers for a couple things.
1. I need volunteers who live in the area who are familiar with the roads and would be willing to have their cell number put on the registration packets as a contact should someone get lost, etc.
2. I will need volunteers to help me pick up the food/picnic supplies from Sysco Saturday morning before breakfast and before the planned Saturday morning drive. I have no trunk space, so I obviously can't carry all of this myself. These volunteers for this time period, will have either food, supplies, or coolers filled with ice/soda in their trunk. You will obviously need space in your trunk in order to volunteer for this.
Please PM me if interested in volunteering.
----------------------------------------------------------------
I will create a list of user names once people start registering.
Registration CLOSES on April 21st (this is the last day) to give me enough time to complete registration packets and figure out food orders.
Once a hotel is determined, I will provide information so people can reserve a room. Obviously if maybe a couple people get a single room, it can save on hotel costs.

Also, if you are INTERESTED and want to sign up, PLEASE PM me or post here, so I can add your name to the list.
that way we can see how many people plan on going whether or not they have paid yet. this will help gauge interest so enough people sign up to make it worth paying the registration.

I live about 10-15min from Holy Hill. I know the area pretty good.
I am only planning on going to the Saturday driving events.
I will ask tomorrow if I can get off of work, so until then, I do not know. The trunk on the AMG can hold some stuff so I can help with that if need be.
I should ask though... I don't have a Honda... are other makes welcome?
EDIT: Can't get off work... no go on the cruise. Damn...

Well I would think it'd be ok, considering I don't drive a civic myself.
So unless there are any major objections, I would not necessarily have a problem making an exception or two to having only civics at the meet.
But if you come I'd still have to have you do the registration and fee.

Any Civics? Like can this be posted elsewhere?
I'll probably come up if the list gets big, this looks to be a good time. I really wouldn't even care if this became an all Honda pileup, more the merrier.

well this is geared toward 7th gen civic owners, though I will make a few exceptions for a few members here, if nothing else to get more people there.

i'm surprised more people haven't responded. considering how many really wanted a meet like this to happen, per the posts i read in my other thread.
people wonder why the midwest never has big meets.

I'm tentatively in. I'm still watching the race schedules, which aren't 100% finalized yet, as long as there isn't a 2 day divisional (which sometimes happens that weekend), I'll probably be up for it.

meet will be centered around the hotel i listed in the first post.
http://www.super8.com/Super8/control...ity=Germantown
now the rate is $55 a night per room, however, once registration ends, I can take the number of people and call to get a group rate.

I know I am confused. so many people responded in that other thread for a meet like this, and now hardly anyone is responding.
if we dont get enough of a response and enough people then we won't hold the meet. (i'll full refund those who paid)
