How fast will I go?????
I have finally decided the route I am gonna go with the performance side of the little D17 (for now at least). I have an AEM CAI, Greddy CatBack, and I am purchasing a racing downpipe (the one they have on ebay) next week. Soon there after I am gettting the DC Sports Header which will bolt right onto my downpipe then to the Greddy catback. After a save a couple of more pennies (this hobby is soooooo expensive) I am gonna get my nifty 50-60 shot of n2o. And maybe a clutch and a flywheel (we will se how it goes).
I remember seeing somewhere that with the 50 shot with I/H/E (not even with a downpipe, just the shorty DC header)........put down 210 horse to the WHEELS, and 250 ft, lbs of torque. The #'s are so high because the n2o works so much better when you have a header installed. Its a fact. You actually will be getting 70-80 horse to the wheels from the 50 shot. And I figure my downpipe will help give me a few extra horse.
My question is after my n2o install:
I am hoping for low to mid 14's. Do you think I will be able to run like a low to mid 14's on the bottle with some slight weight reduction, with those 210whp/250 torque figures. My car is a 5-speed.
THANKS FELLAS..........

sure 210awhp.. haha!
my friend's 02 accord v6 can't even pull 200awhp with i/h/e/, pulleys, and cl-s camshafts.
Goood luck though............................

Where did you get your numbers from?!
250 ft lbs of torque is a ton on an inline four fwd car.
I/H/E with a 50shot will give you around 155hp at the wheels, Im thinking if your a pretty good driver about a 15.2ish

I would say maybe mid to high 14's, my friends ex got a downpipe with high-flow cat and that equaled out to ur ss pulleys (set), so I would say, i/h/e/ downpipe(high-flow cat and 50 shot, you should lay down between 14.7-15.2 if your a good driver... it is was me.. lol
how fast with you go...?....HOW FAST WILL YOU GO?!?!? damn dude are you serious??? youll be hittin up in the 8's and 9's EASY. if i had to make an estimation id say 8.3@167MPH...i mean, this is a civic were talking about right?

lol. geez.
er.. I think 210 whp and 250 lbs. ft of torque is pretty nuts with n2o...
and bolt ons... i'm going to go with the another figure... probably around ~165 hp (gave or take 5 hp) with a 50 shot and those bolt ons.

i read that a civic with 160 hp will do a 15.2. I'd say with those mods (not including the nos) you're probably gaining 23 hp. So on an 115 hp car thats a total of 138hp + nos (id say more like 42-45) you're looking at 180hp at the FLYWHEEL. so @ a approximate 10-15% loss to the wheels you'll probably be able to pullout 153-162hp. If you were a good driver on stock wheels with no additional weight i'd say you could grab a 15.3-15.5 E/T. just my wager. run it and post the results.
still thats a good time and you shouldn't get down about having the juice you thought. will still handle a good chunk of imports at any raceway.

You know....you're right on that one! hahahahatoo bad the engine would die after the first run...
there is no way no how you can push 210 whp and 250 lbs. ft of torque with 50 shot nos and i/h/e/ ..
got to DIY, Nitrous Express Installation
2001 civic ex made 154.6 HP with bolt ons (cai, header etc.) and 50 shot.
but anyway..where did you get those number??

i think the only way to find real hp to the wheels is to dyno it..

that is the next thing i have to address (and prob the most important), i am def gonna use the stock rims with no hubs i just have to get some good rubber........cause i can't run with the 18inch Velox rims i have on now....that would def slow me up........
n e reasonably priced rubber suggestions (no pun intended)

You would need a 100 shot to reach 200hp. Plus, quite a bit of engine work to handle it, not to mention a new clutch, axles and cvjs, and some nice sticky tires...
You would probably get into the mid 15s imo. It really depends on what you run right now...

how would i run mid 15's when there are people on this site who run like 15.8 STOCK.
they do that with like 100-105whp and even less torque!
i am gonna have 170whp and 210ft lbs. of torque.......and your telling me its only gonna be .3 of the time......its gonna be a little more than that skip.....

There is only a handfull of individuals that have gotten into the 15s. These are typically the best amateur drivers out there. Have you run the 1/4 before? If your best is 16.8 at the moment, you may not even see the 15s at all.
Now, if you are at 16.2, you may see the low to mid 15s....
Typical et for the civic 5spd would be in the mid 16s. Anything less than that is only because of the driver....I wouldn't jump to any conclusions if you haven't run the et and established a personal best.
Plus, it takes quite a bit of power to take a full second off ones et...quite a bit.
Sheesh, I just realized you want to enter the 14s....2 seconds off the the typical et with bolt-ons and a 50 shot....
Heck, joe is just getting into the 14s with a 6thgen si and a 50 shot...
