New Intake For Our Cars - From Japan

UPDATE
http://www.topfuel.to/parts_catalog/powerchamber.html
That's the website.

and it says the one for D17A (our's is D17, so I think it'll fit) will be available February. So it should be available now. And a Ferio owner from Japan told me about this, so I think it's available for our cars no doubt. I don't know how much difference there is from the ones here. $200 + Shipping from Japan is pretty expensive just to try.

But I'm going to agree with some of you, since it's from Japan, it does feel safe to buy it.

----------------------

Top Fuel - Powerchamber

they go for around $200 + Shipping from Japan...

anyone have any information on these?

No serious the chamber actually helps its fills up and almost pushed the air into the rest of the intake piping causing faster airflow

I think, Well i know several peopel who have them who notice good gains from the chamber designs

Looks like an SRI, and i noticed the rubber coupling, that means that the pipe is thicker than a normal intake piping..better gains
If its not that expensive i might try one

i wouldn't mind spending 200-250 tops for a real japanese made intake if the gains were dyno'd and available for me to see. i also don't expect much from an intake, but if it can out perform injen cai, i'm down (i feel a big groupbuy coming) when this intake becomes available.

Look at this pic of the back end of the V2. Then tell me they dont look similiar and you have to mean it..dont just say it I'm not saying

they are identical. The V2 uses the larger diameter collection piece(or whatever it's technically called) to force more air down into the engine.

If anyone can put both pics next to each other..that would be spiffy thanks

So your saying that just because it is made in japan that it must be real CF? I take nothing away from japanese engineers...but dont think

that ANYTHING that comes from japan has to be good. How much junky stuff do you own that's made in japan?

The V2 is a gimmick...someone posted (i think joe) a dyno sheet and they only gained like .5 hp or something like that, and this is no exception. imo an intake is an intake. hot or cold.

I think I'd buy it if it was already out in the market. When and where does it come out? Then after I get it, I can say that I have a REAL JDM part on my car...

Of course the step down in pipe size would create a velocity increase, a good concept.

But just because it's made in Japan? I don't know about the rest of you but my Civic was built in Ohio.
