Best headers and pulleys for 2k1

I have a 2k1 dx, I'm unable to decide between dc sports headers with a magnaflow hi-flow cat, or kamikaze, but I'm kinda concerned about passing emissions..... with the kamikaze i know i wont...

Unorthodox pulleys, or aem... I think unorth are better, but experience might differ from my opinion...

thx...
btw, I have a AEM CAI and a tanabe racing medalion full cat-back exhuast.... I wanna do that throttle adjustment, but I don't have a way to raise the car up that much.....

Oh, and, what experience do you guys have with the neuspeed front strut tower bar, or the dc ?

thx again for your comments and info...

no need to raise the car up for the cable adjustment. have the car off, just go under there with ( i think its 10 and 12mm wrenches), loosen one tighten the other, then tighten both up, its very simple, just dont tighten it too far or else the idle will be screwed up......i have the aem pulleys(not on yet) but ill let you know when they are.

Kamikaze / Unorthodox / Throttle-adjustment doesn't make you any faster...might be a waste of time. (well like 2 minutes, ha)

Neuspeed front upper Go for it... i have it and it greatly increased my cornering and steering.

how far from the ground does your kit go ak, mine is like 2-3 inches with my drop, i have gc coilovers and the neuspeed is $113 free shipping where ima get it.

I like to take corners fast, but because of the drop, and kit, im am kinda carefull, is the neuspeed better for cutting and general rigidness?

and scat, did you notice better throttle response after the adjustment? did you do it?

ak, youre ridin on the 14's?

youd probably have trouble in houston, poeple dont repair road well around here

I cant go through the taco bell drive through anymore without scraping on the way out.. lol they have a bad angle outta there..

What sockets, or torque wrench to i need to install the tower bar?

I believe it the bolts for the strut towers are 12mm, but don't quote me on that. I didn't have access to a torque wrench, so I just tightened them as hard as I could by hand, and it's been good for about 9 months now.

I think ground controls go 3" at the lowest. I'm riding Sprint 2" springs...

The Neuspeed front strut bar will sure help cornering... the frame is less flexible thus giving you tighter cornering. For torque specs, search the site. I think it's 33lbs/ft. Forgot...

I'm riding on 15" EX hubcaps... my kit isn't as low as my old kit. I'd say 2-3" clearance all around.

Does anyone actually have the AEM power pulley kit on his or her civic? I just ordered them, but now I am questioning my purchase. It really annoys me that AEM would sell a product that they generalize will gain horsepower without a dyno. I just remember about two years ago reading about a Honda with a DC sport short ram intake, exhaust and their headers and it barely eked out a gain of 9hp at the wheels. I wouldn't be complaining if it were not that I obtained a similar system (greddy exhaust, DC sport headers, AEM CAI) and it cost a pretty penny. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my Civic and the way it rides, but the way they are making cars now to be ultra low level emissions is killing big gains in horse power. However, it would seem logical that the pulleys do not rely on emissions, and hence would provide a descent increase in HP at the wheels. I would feel a little better though if someone who has them installed already could tell me their experience with this part.

I have the aem pulleys, they are very good. It replaces the pulleys and the belts and you can feel a slight difference in the throttle responce and higher rpms have a slight pull now. Overall they are a great buy. Got mine for I think 125 at aie.com

hey check this out. since you only have 4 cylinders and your engine is in an in-line configuration, you can only have a header not headers.

i just had to correct that. im tired of ppl saying header"s" on a civic.

Lol, your just as bad as s2000man, haha
oh well, I will change my evil way... i will get a kamikaze "header" or dc "header" and magnaflow hi-flow cat, and unorthodox pulleys..
They have the strut bar at asaa, but i still kinda want the neuspeed, the guy at rev motorsports said it was made out of metal so it was heavier, is this true ak?

Thx.

Oh yes, and thank you sohc, I guess I had to be put in my place.. lol

I have the neuspeed strut tower also, It doesn't weigh that much if you ask me and because it is a direct fit it is better than those universal ebay bars and whatnot. I would get it.

I had the AEM pulleys put on last summer, there was a noticable difference. Make sure you check to see if the belt they sent w/ it fits, the one sent w/ it didn't and neither did the stock one so I had to run to NAPA to pick up a couple. Good part though, just make sure you aren't running a monster stereo system, it will pull too much unless it has another battery too
