I looked in the member rides and found (at least for auto trannys) that not many people add cams or new pulleys. Do they not make a difference or is it just something most people have not or arent willing to modify on their car?

With cams you need to understand timing and with the pulleys you will only get like a 3 hp gain, if that means anything to you.

You can get a little more than 3 out of the unorthodox set of 3 pulleys. They were a great mod.

I'm not sure about the AEM. A lot more people on this site have the AEM pulleys than the Unorthodox on this site though so you should be able to get some info from someone.

And in regards to the cam gear, it helped too. I got it dyno tuned. First run with not tuned with i/h/e was 115. That's pretty average. I/H/E only gain like 5 hp together on our cars. By the time they were done tuning the cam gear I was up to 119.5. That is without the pulleys, so I dont know how much they helped but I am planning on gettin it dyno tuned again when I get my S-AFC and that should tell how much the pulleys and lightened flywheel helped.

our cars also only have one cam. and the only aftermarket cams we can get are reground stockies.

I don't know about hp, but I've heard people's 1/4 times are slower after they get AEM pullies.

i've got my auto modified pretty good right now....just look at my member info...i got Aem Tru Time Adjustable Cam Gear, AEM Pulleys, DC Header (gonna hook up my HP pretty soon!), i've got Denso Iridiums on there....AEM SRI...and an Apexi N1 Catback Exhaust....and i think my car pulls pretty darn good....actually when i get my HP header i think it will kick ever more ****! any questions about modified auto's ask me....and my future mod is a turbo set up...can't wait! holla
