When will Jackson Racing come out with a supercharger?
I am having lots of trouble finding any kind of supercharger or turbocharging kit for my 2002 civic ex coupe. I would prefer a Jackson Racing super charger though.
In the latest Sport Compact Car magazine (or was it Honda Tuning? ) anyway....one of the Civic articles mentioned that they anticipate a turbo for our cars sometime in the near future. They didn't name any companies or specifics tho

i think supercharging a car that barely makes and "real" power is not worth the money.. cuz as i understand it.... supercharger makes its power from the power already being made from the block.. using its belt thingy to spin the supercharger.. look at jackson racing's supercharged 99 EX.. its puting out like 160 HP.. so tahts like maybe 40 HP gain over stock??
only light us 7thgen have is the upcoming turbos.. and the HASport K Motor swaps.. either that or build the block and do like a 75 shot..
all im aiming for is 200whp... is that so much to ask? oh and 8k Redline would be nice.. even 7,500 is excepetable..

Superchargers arent that popular on 4 cylinder cars, they need another belt with a pulley so that takes away power right there, kinda like another accessory, so it takes power to make power... A turbo is a much better performance mod for a 4 cylinder car because it uses the vaccum from the exhaust to create power, just get a custom turbo or better yet do an engine swap and then get a turbo!
all these people that want a sc so baddly, why not try to make one from another gen civic fit. somebody has to be a pioneer, why not you. somebody had to try to fit a turbo and everything in the engine bay, and they managed.
anyways, if i had to take my pick, i'd go with saving a little more and grabbing myself a jetta again. damn that thing was sweet.

The last remote rumor I have heard about 7th gens and SC's is that the guy down at APG Performance said that theres a guy down in mexico trying to make up one but like I said, its just rumor. I wouldnt even take it for a grain of salt.
Well if you're a brave soul and good at making things, I'm sure you can get a JRSC and either adapt the intake to our engine (probably will take a lot of fabrication and work) or make a new intake (also lots of work). Plus, you'll need to make sure the pulley is lined right up with one of the other accessory wheels and find a belt the right length. Its possible, but very custom. Sounds interesting, but I don't think I'd want to put up that kind of effort, maybe if it bolted right up...
