Unorthodox Racing Pulleys

Its been about 2 weeks since i installed my UR SS pulley set...and i would say that i do feel a difference as far as acceleration goes..it seems like it revs up easier! But i dont think it was worth the $300. I have a 2001 Ex auto with the ultra ss crank, p/s, alternator pulley.

as far as ive been told changing the crank pulley is definately not a good idea. i went with the aem ones (alternator, ps) cause they were a lot cheaper

actually, the crank pulley is the one that gives you the most horsepower if changed to an underdrive. some people say it's not good because it takes out the harmonic balancer, but the pulleys are ballanced themselves and machined to almost no runout so a harmonic balancer isn't needed.

I was not so sure about the crank pulley either...but it is ALOT lighter and smaller (it is the only thing underdriven. the alt, and p/s pulley are just alot lighter than stock) As far as the crank pulley goes... it does not vibrate more or anything because it does not have the dampner...personally i think it is better for the motor because it is easier to turn. So far i have had no problems. The install seemed hard so i had a friend help..all that we did was:
1. Remove the left wheel
2. Remove the undercarage plastic stuff
3. Loosen (but dont remove) crank pulley with an impact gun
3. Then we removed the power steering pump to loosen belt.
4. Then removed the alternator (pain because it is hard to get to.
5. Removed alt belt.
6. replace stock crank pulley with new one. (put some anti-siez on it in case you ever have to get it off. i didnt?...tighten with impact gun)
7. replace stock alternator pulley with new one
(tighten with impact gun)
8. replace stock p/s pulley with new one. (tighten with impact gun)
9. now put on NEW belt for the alt to crank. (re-install alt and tighten up)
10. put in NEW belt fron p/s to crank and tighten up power steering and wing nut tension adjuster.
11. You should be all good after you put the plastic under car stuff on and replace your wheel.
12. I reset ECU by disconecting batt for 5 min.
get in and drive...UR says it takes about 500 miles for the ECU to completly cycle and recognize the differience in weight.

thats it
