$630 will get you the most high quality OEM style hood i can find (that's the kind that looks stock) I have this same hood. It's superlightweight, comes with built in latch. It's real carbon fiber lined with fiberglass. You won't find one better.. it's got a very, very smooth surface. Call me.

If your just going to drop the weight and make it a racer, and not concerned if there may be a bit of ripple in teh clear coat at some points, just go eBay, like 300 bucks plus shipping for an OEM style hood. IF show, definitely spend the extra cash and get it done right.

Hey,

I got mine for $300.00. Its a cheap no brand name CF Hood. I had some bumper damage that didn't make the hood latch, but after I went to a body shop they readjusted everything and made the hood fit as perfectly as it can.

Pls note, the picture below is before the adjustment. I will try to show new pictures tomorrow.

best stock looking hood is DGMotorsports. if you look under the hood, it even has carbon fiber reinforcements just like our stock hoods. be prepared to shell out madd amounts of cash. it's like 6 bills shipped. if i were to get one, i'd get DGMotorsports. just my $0.02.

Actually the best known brands are spoon and benen. I'm planning on checking out jdmhondaparts.com's hoods when i go down to El Monte. They're pretty cheap and they claim to be spoon quality. VIS also makes decent hoods...

i am a firm believer in the " you get what you pay for" motto when it comes to cars. i think i'm going to sink a few more duckets into trying to squeeze out some more HP out of this thing and then go for the hood...and if i'm really stoked a CF rear trunk lid.... thank god i just got a raise he he more money for goodies
...just hope my girl friend doesn't learn about the raise too soon.
thanks everyone for the info i think i will try DG when it comes to the big day
