assuming u can get 45 hp to wheels with the gude package.. is that enuff to handle previous gen civics with basic bolt ons.. or even the 99-00 si, with/without bolt ons??
becuase really wen u race.. ur obviously not gonna try to beat all the stangs.. integras.. corvets.. n preludes.. u most likely race other cars in your class.. so that u may actually have a chance to begin with...

Oh of course. Im not out to try and beat 5.0's and z28's even though its not uncommon to see that with four cylinder cars that are built up, but I just want more out of my car so I can at least keep up with grand ams, sunfires, and any other cars that are near my class. Thats another thing I have been thinking about, what the hell are these classes and who makes them up? I always hear on car commericals,"The top in its class", "rated #1 in its class" But I want to know is, is that how many other cars are "technically" in its class and how its determine which class it goes into. Sorry for the rambling but I always have to laugh when I hear that, "top in its class!!!"

i think (could be wrong) that car classes are usually determined by the cars size? price probably comes into play.. and model trims? i dunno.. but makes sense to me
on the gude thing.. i just want to be able to beat all the zx3's with bolt on's that think they are the fastest thing on the planet... not to mention neons too

i think we should have a race.. to see who's 7thgen civic on here can reach 200whp... first.. of course with the D17 block... and preffereably without N20... hehe ...

I'll join the race to reach 200whp first > And by the way.. most 98 and up Z28's WISH they were running mid to low 13's. That would mean the SS camaro is running mid to high 12's stock... sorry to dissapoint you.. but the 98 and up camaros run mid to low 14's... late model mustangs are mid to high 14's. SS camaros are in the high 13's. All these times are only accomplished with a skilled driver. I don't think some people realize how fast a 13 second car is. It's REALLY pretty quick. I'm sorry to hear about your dyno results. Personally, i went with the Hp racing 4-1 header with cat extension, magnaflow piping with apex'i n1 muffler, AEM cai, unorthodox pullies, gude cam (not yet installed), and more on the way. I wouldn't have bought DC'S header because the piping is so small and it's only the top piece, you can't expect much from that... especially no torque gain. DC's exhaust is cool looking, but that twin canister thing splits up the air.. the more you break up the airflow, the more horspower you lose. You need to increase airflow to create power. Sometimes, cold air intakes are known to take away horsepower, i have one... but if i could go back i'd probably get the short ram. Anyway, take that into consideration... I'll get my car dynoed after i install my cam.. I have the rest of the head package coming in the future.
By the way, I am a Gude performance Dealer. Once we see the dyno results and see that it's worth getting (i'm curious now myself) I will be happy to sell the full package to anyone here for $1450
