they told me that it would take about a week to do, because they manufacture it right when you make the order so its not sitting around collecting rust, dust, etc. I should have it by the tuesday after memorial day. That week my body kit and wing should arrive too so im gettin everything done at once.
how does this work again? r u sending them parts of ur engine or what? will ur car be down at all or will u be able to drive around etc etc till the Gude comes in? i know this was all answered but massive brainfart and cant remember $hit right now so im askin hahahah
i $uck!!

ok it costed me 1650 for the package and they guarantee a 45 hp at the wheels increase on a stock ex and it wont void out your warranty because there is no difference that they can tell.
pearlhonda: to answer your question, my car is up and running right now, they have to send me the head, throttle body, etc. and then i have a mechanic or whatever install it, and then i ship back my stock parts to gude. thats how it works. btw, im gettin my body kit and wing installed in like two weeks so ill have mechanic put the head and everything else on in one shot. you can run nitrous but no chance of forced induction because the compression ratio is raised to like 11:1 or something like that. He recommended a 50-75 shot of nitrous but NOTHING higher than 75. hope this helped you out.

in the near future, i plan on getting the head package, a nitrous bottle, and possibily other things, computer, vafc, and with all of that, i hope i can get it up around 200hp. hopefully.
wel if u get 45hp ur civic should jump to 160-70hp then u do 50-75 shot nos i would think u would reach the 200hp goal....i would think. Ya im modding my car majorly, for show though but if the gude is what it says ill definately go with that engine mod.

Wow VeNoMsCiViC it sounds great man, until now. Hope you will make it a big success. I am here to give you some advice or can say tips, but first i have to ask you what certain performance parts are on your car:
intake?
Exhaust or muffler?
Pullies?
Cam gears?
S-AFC or V-AFC or AVC-R or an ECU upgarde?
NOS?
I am asking, cause when you fit the Gude package and want to dyno test it, any of the products above will increase the HP of your cars engine. I am sure you want that, but i would like you to remember doing this to know the exact HP increase of the Gude head Package:
Gude HP increase = Dyno HP @ 6300 rpm - (Total HP increase on each product + Stock HP 127hp)
small formula: G=DHP-(PHP+SHP)
All i am trying to say that i would like to know the exact HP increase on the Gude itself. This is probably not accurate, but still close. Just a reminder some intakes are dyno-ed to know the exact HP increase on the stock power. i think AEM dyno their intakes to insure the hp increase, so look at the product and calculate the total hp increase on each product and that would be your Product HP (PHP). The SHP is the engine Stock HP (EX=127hp, HX=121hp, LX & DX=118hp) <-----all hp is @ 6300 rpm. DHP is the Dyno HP, which is the final result from the Dyno graph (use the hp reached by the engine when the RPM reached 6300, the same rpm reached by the stock engine to give out 127hp). G is the Gude HP increase <------------- this is what i am trying to know and i am sure that you and the members are interested to know the increase of the Gude head alone!
A) here is an example on the EX:
*Intake adds 2hp, always try to use the avarage number thats if the product mentions an hp range increase (eg 2-4hp)
*Exhaust system adds 3hp
*S-AFC adds 3hp
PHP= 2+3+3 = 8hp
SHP= 127hp @ 6300 rpm
DHP= 180hp @ 6300 rpm
G= 180 - (8+127)= 45hp
*remember the more you put into it the more it should give you!
Sorry for the long post and hope i helped out!

he's right.. and i THINK he's trying to say that if you've done all sorts of bolt ons... then you will get more than the guaranteed 40-45 whp... no telling how much more though. Bolt-ons are designed to "help out" your internals are the heart and soul of performance.. and we will NEVER have fast cars without doing the needed things. port polish, three angle valve job, throttle body, and a camshaft is a good start. other things to look into= lightening and balancing pistons, flywheel, thicker valve sleeves, possibly stroker kit ( can be made for our cars by KMS www.honda-performance.com) good luck with the package dude. i'll be ordering mine by the time yours is installed. keep us posted.

i was told that we have to be really careful on what pistons to get because that head makes our compression go up to 11:1. I was also told that if you were to go with bigger and taller pistons, you might the head and damage the $hit out of your car. does this seem like its correct info?

they didnt say anything good or bad about the doing anything with vtec, but they asked me if my car had vtec so im guessin that they are makin my head for what i need. Also, if anyone out there with a lx,dx, etc. wants to get this package, they said they would be able to do it.

see, what happened was I called up gude the other day and they told me that the head they were making for me was pressured check and it failed the test. They told me that there was a very small crack in the head and they had to go out and buy another head so it would take them another week to get done. Long story short, its being shipped out this monday, june 3rd, and i should see it by the following friday. I want to get the car dynoed before and after so i can let you guys know whats to be really expected with the package. later.
