Power Chip
Power Chip
There are some plug in power chips available on the net that claim to add a hell of a lot of horsepower. One says 60hp another 75hp.
Does anyone know anything about these chips and if they do increase horsepower this much.
I have a 2002 honda civic dx non-vtec and a 60-75hp gain would be awesome.

Here is a link as an example.

It looks like a resistor mod.
Here is a much better site that has more interesting things like the electric supercharger. Any comments on that?

Re: Power Chip
They are all gimmics and none of them increase power. Actually, those electric superchargers have been known to brake off bits that end up in your engine destroying things as they pass. The only "chip" that will increase power is technically a KPRO and you need a tune if you get one. Not only that but without other addons the power gain is minimal and it costs near 700 dollars.
