Re: exhaust

You can just change the muffler. I actually had a Dynomax muffler on my 01 that was just a little louder then stock when you floored it. After installing my progress rear sway the muffler was hitting it so I removed it. Now Im running without a muffler just the resonator and an extension pipe cause it had a bad drone on the highway with the exhaust getting stuck under the rear bumper. You can try just removing the muffler and running without to see if you like the loudness. I think it's to loud, and I plan on getting a muffler for it just havn't yet. You may not pass inspection depending on your state. Here is a pic of what I did.

A whole exhaust will make it louder but it depends on the system. I thought I wanted it loud but after daily driving with out the muffler I am going to be getting a quiter exhaust system when I get the $. Headers also change the sound. Look on YouTube for different exhaust systems on 7 gen civics.
