Ex-Mag = Amazing sound. But pricey. You can find sound clips on YouTube.

no exhaust really does anything but look good and sound good, you might get a 1-2hp gain with a $500 exhaust. i dont see the point in that lol

that sayin and our cars dont go too well! unless you are a BULIT MOTOR OR turbo. nothing unless u have other mods to help compliment that full exhaust will give u the extra HP u probably want. anyways. i got a Magnaflow cat-back, deep sound, and every now and then i notice some of my HP. but notice that amazes me. but i got mine for $300 brand new! overstock price...:hehe:

if you want deeper sound try adding a header instead of replacing the exhaust..

Another consideration would be an RSX muffler with 2.5" piping. Arent HKS exhaust systems on our cars ridiculously loud?

No way, I can barely hear the thing, it's axle back. I do have a stock header tho. My intake is way louder when I'm accelerating. It also comes w/ a silencer, I can't imagine what it would sound like w/ it, stock sound?

If you already have headers try going to a 2.5 or 3 inch custom exhaust. I got a 2.25" done with an ebay muffler for $75

^... personally i think 2.5-3" is a lil much for a n/a exhaust system... i got a just a generic muffler (not a huge tip), and a custom made exhaust system and the car sounds awesome... at first i didn't have a resonator in which made the car stupid loud.. haha, some days i miss it, but it's nice and police friendly now with it in...

i wanted noticeable noise with my car... ... plus my exhaust system costed $340 after taxes... haha... i remember hearing the ws2 tho... it was quiet, but noticeable... i've heard that the ws2 starts off at first when you buy it quiet like stock, but then after some use it gets louder???

I have Magnaflow cat-back and it sounds good, nice and deep but not too loud. Plus it was only $380.

The clips of the Magnaflow on their site is EXACTLY how it sounds when I drive. So if you like it, thats what it will sound like on the car.

i dunno guys, i had the hks hi power with a custom 2.25 cat back and it sounded really nice but once i put my header on it gave it a really high pitch almost ricer sound, anyone else have that problem? but now that i think about it i'm not runnin a catalytic coverter. anyways, i got tired of it and now i have a megan racing exhaust...in my opinion the megan racing exhaust is the best i've had so far.

I havent had a chance to upsize my midpipe but im goin 2.5 w/ a resonator only b/c i got the pipes for free . But if i were u i wouldnt get rid of the cat b/c believe it or not the cat is the least restrictive part on the exhaust on almost all newer vehicles. Your check engine light will come on also giving you a faulty catalyst code and wont be able to pass inspection untill you put the factory cat and reset the code. Also w/o a cat that ricer sound will come back lol!
