welps.. first, the LX header are bigger and weighs more than EX header and they have to make more customization like holes for o2 sensors and what not..(not sure if thats the real resason)and if you buy an exhaust for lx, its gonna be 3 pieces vs 2pieces on Ex because of the extension and how EX differs on LX. was thinking about that too. (and i think alot more people buy LX than EX to save some money)

There is 1 header...

What header are you talking about? Stock? Aftermarket?
LX/DX stock header has a cat on it, whereas the EX doesn't.

well if you dont want a lx header just get an ex one, it bolts up. but you just have to get the rest of the ex exhaust system. more options for the ex.

o sry, thats what i meant.
I was saying w/the LX model- get a EX header such as OBX or dc sports and then put a random tech. high flow cat and weld it to my LX magnaflow exhaust (yes it will fit, a shop was going to do it for me, u dont really need to buy a new exhaust). My only concern is w/the possibility of the check engine light coming on..wat do i do if that happens?

well i dont know for sure since i do own a EX, but im pretty sure you just got to extend the o2 sensor wiring into the bung supplied with the ex piping. or if you dont want to do that, just get an o2 simulator to make it think its there.

ya thats wat shop was going to do...extend the o2 wires to fit and everything BUT that could possibly, but not for sure, set the light on becuase it would be changing the LX stock catalytic converter position, ya kno? im pretty sure it would all work out but if it dosent then its kinda a waste of money unless theres a safe way to fix the engine light

I have a Strup header, random tech high flow cat, and magnaflow exhaust on my DX and it all work fine with no check engine light comming on. All the guys at the shop did was extend my o2 wires.
