i want a deep rumbling, relatively quiet sounding exhaust
Does anyone have any recommendations? I drive a 2001 honda civic ex coupe, i dont want anything loud and annoying, but with the stock, you can barely tell the car is even on. My entire exhaust system is stock and im just looking for a nice deep rumbling sound that is relatively quiet, someone point me in the right direction please.
buy a wrx
it's loud, but it doesn't rumble. it is a low sound though.

I have a Thermal axleback, and it has quite a nice rumble at low RPMs.
but damn that full catback sounds nice!
btw, how big is the pipe from cat to axle?
(I had 2.5" pipe from the cat to the axle - came with my Megan catback, and it was too loud for me on the interstate, sounded great in town though)

That hks axel back sounds good and the Apexi N1 is deep but farely loud, enough to shake plastic moldings on a 2nd gen eclipse.
Apexi World Sport is suppose to be quieter but still deep.
I PERSONALLY love my magnaflow cat-back, perfect fit plus deep in the lower RPMs but close to stock in the upper RPMs. If you turn your radio up a bit you won't hear it.

its so smooth and low, but so far from having that ricey BRRRRRRRRMMMMM or WEEAAAAAAAAH
when you listen to one pass by it sounds like SHOOOOOOOOOOMMM. If i had the money to custom that system onto my car i would.
sorry i have no real input for this thread. I have kept myself from buying an aftermarket exhaust for the fear of finding out the exhaust tone one member likes is totally ricey sounding to me

We say stupid thing because the question is ridicules.^
Exhaust sound is preference! Not something that’s "better" or "worse."
In my opinion if he would have asked which exhaust is less restrictive, he may not have gotten such "smart *** answers."
Just my .2

I have the megan cat back exhaust. It's not too loud nice and deep. It's loud when you're at WOT though. Basically its quiet when you need it to be and loud whenyou want it to be. Plus it comes with a silencer. So if your not pounding the pedal I don't think its that loud. Just my opinion can someone back me up on this.
honestly, your best bet is going to be the gt-spec, evo2, or skunk2. skunk2 is almost too deep though. i've heard pretty much every exhaust, and if you want something deep i'd choose one of those three. i've got a gt-spec and i love it, but it's one of the more pricey exhausts they make. the megan exhaust is a good choice too, and it comes with a pretty good price tag.
