Exhaust hangers

Hey all,

I just got the Hks Hi-power axelback exhaust and after using it for a few weeks, it sounds real nice.

Anyways to the real point, I noticed the hks hangs pretty low compared to other exhaust for the 7thgencivics, im thinking about getting new exhaust hangers. Are the exhaust hangers the plastic piece that holes the metal bar welded to the exhaust or is it the plastic/rubber piece that you hook it to with the car?

Feel free to give me any other info about exhaust hangers.

the exhaust hangers are the metal rod things that go into the rubber part, you can just go to a muffler shop and have them bent or cut for really cheap

That does look low. You can get shorter rubber hangers (any muffler shop should have like 20 different ones), that way you don't have to bend your new exhaust. OR if you want to be ghetto a lot of people will use zip ties to pull it up further.

I do know that the HKS exhaust looks sick.

I'm cutting the hangers too this spring break and rewelding them to make them shorter. Hopefully that will work.

Nitto will become famous soon enough
its fine in my eyes, at most you can pull it up a tiny bit.

plus you dont want it to rattle or get carbon on your body.

I've got the HKS and I thought my exhaust hung a little low too so I went and bought some shorter rubber exhaust hangers and it raised it up a bit.
You can always have a muffler shop bend the metal hanger on the exhaust but when I run a rear lip I'm gonna want it lower again for clearance so I opted not to bend anything.

Was that video taken right after you put it on, or had you had the exhaust for some time?
