Fujita cold air intake for auto
I know I know, the whole intake debate is old and stale BUT I saw an ad for Fujita intakes...got curious since I haven't heard of them before. I looked at their site and they only carry cold air apps for both the auto and manual for our cars. I did a search on here for anyone with the Fujita intake and only found one member who was selling it but had nothing but good things to say about it. Just wondering if anyone else has one and what they think. Does it have the same problems (drilling & battery rubbing) as the Injen CAI for autos? Please indulge my curiosity. Thanks.

yeah I looked at that dyno, its for a 5speed so I'm not sure how to interpret those results for an auto. I have to agree with curiousfish though, because AEM and K&N both have dynos that make you think your gonna get NASA performance or something ha ha! I'm debating on whether to switch to a CAI, I constantly go back and forth...I'm intake bi-polar ha ha! I just think its cool to see a fresh face for the intake market.
ha ha gee thanks se7engen_ride ha ha...**** I'm getting itchy to buy one since its almost my birthday and Christmas...which happen to be on the same day lol! yup born on Christmas so I should be getting some money and presents I can sell on ebay to buy one ha ha!

that "thing" reminds me of the ray-gun that marvin the martian uses...but hey if it works for you, more power to you (no pun intended). Well I pm'd that guy and never got a response back soooooo....unless I can find one being sold second-hand for a better price, my curiosity will have to wait cuz I'm not paying almost $300 for 2hp if that.
dont buy an intake for our car for gains lol. Their not that much different. If you think one looks good then get it , but that blitz filter.....wtf? I see know technical way a fliter of that design could be any different, not on our car.
I posted this review on a previous thread:
I recently installed the Fujita CAI on my 04 EX MT. Great intake. It is one of the few intakes that Fujita makes that has the non moving tornado built into the pipe. I believe the founder was a formed head member at Injen. They say it is pretty much Injen with some modifications, such as the tornado. I wouldn't say it is secondary to Injen though.
Sound: 5 - great deep sound at full throttle that tapers on at about 3000 rpm and then tapers off at about 6000 rpm. great low sound during casual driving. Also great whistle when car shuts off.
Fit: 4 - No problem with fit at all. Fits like a glove. Only thing i noticed is pipe comes straight up from throttle body before making its left turn. Hood closes with no problem. Worried that i won't be able to fit the tanabe strut bar. Getting one within the next week to test. Other than that. Fit is great, filter right behind passenger side fog light.
Performance: 4 - As everbody knows there is only so much power to gain out of the d17A2. This intake does get the great power from a CAI system. Fujitas dyno shows 4 hp and 2.5 pounds of torque. You can't really expect much more from a CAI with no other modifications to the car. The V2 gets about the same, if not about .5 horsepower more.
Overall great intake, should be great with the Espelir JGT500 cat back coming soon.
Also no rub on battery and no vibration using the vibration mount.
