K&N air filter

has any one used or own a K&N stock replacement air flter? if so can you provide some details on the difference it made your car? (eg. gas milage, power, accleration, and etc.)?

yes, i'm using one. It doesn't make any difference what so ever. Its just to get cleaner air to your engine. A friend of mine has the Cold Air Intake and loves it... i don't have it on my car but have heard good things about the cold air intake by K&N.

Yeah, I've had a few cars with the K&N replacement filter. Basically the only reason to do is to save money and forget about it. That's why I use then, I can just drop the filter in and not worry about it for 50K miles. Never saw any real gains with it though.

for K&N CAI, you get about 1-3 hp gains at the wheel in the civic. no gains in torque, there is torque lost. K&N reports this on their site.

With the short ram typhoon K&N intake, i think it gave 1hp and 3 lb/torque
I think it was gearbox? who dyno'd it

I added a stock replacement K & N air filter to my o4 ex and it made a nice difference in power

K&N's SRI "typhoon" is one of the best on the market

i think Gearbox has the dyno numbers to prove it too
