people do just a banner strip at the top of the front windshield. there was a black coupe with 20% all windows (including front) and got pulled obviously. tinting front windshield puts you and others on road at risk due to decreasing your visibility. not worth it IMO. i was thinking about doing a very light (90%) on windshield, but went ahead and thought about doing a banner instead
Hey guys,
Just got back from TNT Tinting.
I set up an appointment for this Friday to go in and get it done. I'm probably going to go with the 20% all around. He also told me that if I wanted to tint my windshield (entire), I could as well.
He suggested 50% but soonercivic advised against it. Maybe I'll go with something lighter... Any suggestions? I sat inside a car with 50% windshield tint and I didn't think it was very dark/dangerous.

35% is still good for the windsheild who cares if its illegal no one will notice 35% or even 50% on the windshield its so light but anything below 35% on the windshield will get notice easily.

It's illegal to tint front windshields because cops can't see if you have a gun then. I guess cops have been killed because they got shot because they couldn't see what the people inside were doing.
I don't know why you can tint your side and rear windows, tho. Cops usually pull you over from the back anyway, and they couldn't see in if the windows were tinted.

yo you will get pulled over so fast with a fully tinted winshield, its not even funny. pushin 20 around is risky enough but the winshield will get you busted. how much will they charge you for the tint on your car?

i believer kaiser can give you documents saying you need tint for your eyes. but that does NOT apply to the front windshield. if there is any reason why you need to tint the front windshield, you shouldnt be driving anyways.
35% on the front windshield = alot IMO. i would notice it right away if i were an officer. id even chase him/her down because of it. think about it for awhile... is tinting the front windshield worth large fines? im sure its a big violation in most states. its not gonna be your basic "fix-it" ticket where you just pay the fees...
90% is the most id ever do on the front windshield.

I'm pretty sure you can tint the front windshield with a doctor's prescription in WI. But even if you're 100% legal with that certificate in your glove box, you're still going to get pulled over by evey cop on the road. That's going to waste a lot of your time.
And another thing, if there is an accident, who do you think they will blame it on? the guy with no tint or the guy with the possibly illegal tint on the windshield that has poor visibility? ya know.
BAM! Straight Pimpin'
Hope you guys like!

I'm really happy with the tinting. I looks a lot nicer at night time and it really does keep the car cool when its parked under the blistering hot sun.

i told you so.
nice tint with that color man. it looks perfect. and without direct sunlight, it blends with the color of the car so you can't tell where the window ends and the car begins. good for you. how much did it cost?

The other company, Eclipse, charged more. As long as its a job well done, I don't mind paying a little extra.
Thanks guys
