what can i do??? HELP!!!
today, while i was driving, i heard a rattling sound from under the hood. when i opened the hood, i found that my AEM V2 intake hinge totally broke off!!! so there's a 2 inch wide hole in my intake. is it possible to weld the hinge back on? or is there no hope for this intake and do i have to buy a new one????

I just welded one of those up about 2 weeks ago. If you were in So. California i would say drive down here and i will fix it. But since you are there, you need to take it to a shop that has an experienced TIG welder. Someone that has some experience welding aluminum.

Rep Power: 811 if you have your receipt, call aem and they'll send a new version. Otherwise get it welded. K&N solved this problem because their typhoon sri has a rubber mount in order to give the intake some movement. The aem does not and thats why it just breaks. Intakes always move when the engine does, and the weld can just break from stress.
