Exhausts on Vp/DX/LX??
How many of us actually have a performance exhaust on our VP/DX/LX? Which seems to be the best? The only ones Ive seen out are the Espelir, the Greddy sp2, Magnaflow, and maybe a handful of others. Would I be better off to do the EX exhaust conversion and get something like the WS2 or the RSR EXmag?

the WS2 or RSR Exmag is NICE
you can try and buy the LX/DX extension pipe so u can go ahead and use it with EX exhaust systems..
like someone with an EX but they bought a maganflow.. which came with the LX extension..
or the tanabe extension.. its a bit expensive though.
tanabe one might be bolt on, maganaflow.. not sure.

if you just want to stick with the dx/lx header go with greddy evo 2, but i must reccommend the ex header with a high flow cat alot better. performance. put whatever axel back you want i have apexi N1. not as loud as the evo2 and better performance. ive had both setups.

I had the tanabe hyper medallion with the extention pipe but i felt no gains what so ever. Then i tried the HKS Hi-Power axle back with my stock pipes. I like it a lot better because I gained back some back pressure

Sounds good.....Im really tempted to do the EX conversion this summer, but money and time are gonna be hard to get to. I want to get my Racing Harts first and one of those silver dash trim kits for the interior. After that I dont know where Im headed......I really want an EXmag BAD.

HP Racing header + cat with o2 sim box - so if I get this I can put an EX exhaust on my car with no problems? Im really leaning towards getting the parts needed for the conversion.

If you want an EXmag you should look in some of the retail sales and group buy threads, there are some good deals in there. I think I saw it for like $503.00, thats the lowest price Ive gotten on it anywhere.

Not trying to be an ***, but the fact that the D17 doesnt respond to bolt-ons has been well discussed. Why spend $$ on an exhaust if its just going to rev up your butt dyno, attract cops, and most likely sound like complete crap. Most Honda Civics with exhausts I've heard sound horrible. Maybe its the pitch of the stock engine but even compared to other economy imports they sound bad. I live in a college town there are plenty of modified Civics. Just thought I'd offer advice and say what no one else is going to say.
