01 Si Intake/Exhaust...?

i'm having some trouble finding a good full cat-back exhaust system for my 2001 civic Si (canadian car). i'm actually looking for a good intake/Exhaust package...any suggestions? i was planning on an AEM cold air intake but i have had trouble finding a bolt on exhaust system. i'm looking for a good streetable exhaust, not to loud but a nice deep tone and nothing to big so it hangs down alot. any suggestions would be appreciated including full exhaust packages...header back. I'm a honda apprentice so installation isnt really a problem its just finding the parts....any response would be appreciated. thanx

Well i just bought a Vibrant AXLE back exhaust and I too was a little weary on the sound I know it is only axle back but Im glad i got it, it has a nice deep tone to it and when i finish the exhaust it will sound even better. Well it might not be what your looking for but its a start.

There are no intake/exaust pachages, but the aem cold air and v2 are good, they give a nice deep tone. For an cat back id look into the greddy evo2. If you replace the cat it will be really loud and ricey. Search the forums for more info, you can also find some sound clips of the various catbacks for our cars. Also can si = us ex

Will an Si spec exhaust work on a DX coupe? My buddy is actually looking for an Si exhaust manifold to get rid of the cat-on-headers power robber. He already has a muffler, so he would get the center section bent at an exhaust shop. So basically will a Si (US EX) exhaust manifold bolt up to a DX motor?

i can't remember which car has what but if yours has the header with cat built in then no you would need to do an ex exhaust conversion. BTW start calling your car an ex on the forums here. people are gonna get it confused with the hatchback.

Sorry, it's actually an LX. I'm not a Honda man myself, but I'm trying to help a buddy out.

So you are saying that the ex (si in canada) exhaust manifold will bolt up to the head? We're going to hit up a wrecker or parts jobber to see if they can hook us up on the cheap.

yeah but you have to change the whole exhaust because the two have different downpipes.

Yeah, I was expecting that. No biggie, the stock one is FUBAR anyway, bent and sagging now.
