aem claims the v2 gained more than the cai. I think this is all a sceam to lure customers.

not true. those are false dynos just to bring up their sales.

search intakes on this site and you'll figure out intakes arent a very good investment overall. their known to rob your low end but give you very minimal high end. short rams are even worse.

chris, unless your going forced induction.. don't invest money into your d17.. Save for a swap or go for show. Many members on here have made the mistake of spending (wasting) a lot of money on intake/ header/exhaust type stuff..

whoever uses their low end power when racing. Its all high end. Also buying bolt-ons could be a good investment especially when combined. It helps out alot with the use of nitrous because they all work together thus more power.

well not the people who were cool about but damn... all u had to do was answer the damn question, it would have taken less time and effort to just give a simple answer than to figure out some way to flame on a damn "newbie"...

so i guess imma be hated by every fuccin body now though huh???

be labeled as just another fuccin "ricer newbie"???

I've never said anything to any of ya'll, u could at least show me the same damn respect...

you need to chill....before you get banned lol....people get pissed and annoyed because it would probably take you less time to search for what your asking then it did take you to write it, because EVERY new member has the first question about intakes, I know I did too.

But anyways I know we've all gone through this a MILLION times, I'm just curious how can AEM post those dynos and not get sued if they are fake? I mean in SOME way it has to be true, just what did they alter to get that many HP....Think about it fellas if a BIG company like that posts fake #'s someone is BOUND to test it out and we all probably have and they can get sued...So what setup do they have that gives them that much power....

while yeah it's useful using the search engine, it really isn't that great of a tool... everytime i put in a topic or a keyword there are like 16 pages... half the time the first page doesn't contain what i'm lookin for... and i'm sorry but i refuse sometimes to go through endless pages with a dial-up modem... i know some of u are sayin well fuccin get a cable modem... well i would if i could but i live in the country somewhat so they don't offer down here... so that means no dsl modem, cable modem, and i'm not payin outrageous prices for some satellite dsl... well i mean I read the posts about intakes and such, i just never took the time to look at aem's dynos... for the first time i do that today and i'm like what the fucc, so i figure hey why not see what's really up... I come to this site for help and advice, not to get flammed...

I really don't know much **** about cars and the import scene but i've gained a whole lot more knowledge since joining this site. I appreciate all the help everybody gives but i'm just sayin... i haven't disrespected none of u so i don't expect the same ya feel me...

i agree the search button sucks *****. aem v2 should only give a 5hp gain in the high rpms. their dyno shows that. as for the cai i think it's less gain but i haven't seen i dyno. i do suggest iceman intake as well.

who called you a ricer? i never saw anyone getting really pissed off. i never saw someone call you a newbie or anything. you need to learn to just chill out dude.
but anyways...it seems like an intake, v2 or not, will just improve your sound...and a little bit w/ the high end.

I noticed a slight gain with the V2, but it gets heat soaked real fast then I think it actually robs power.
