bypass valve for cai in ny??

do i really need a bypass valve for my injen intake here in ny???what do you think?

I would say no unless you plan on going through huge puddles.

The filter has to be completely submerged for it to hydrolock your engine.. ive had mine partially submerged and its done nothing.... no bypass for me, i live in TX
