Good lx header is made by kamikaze from www.bigjoshracing.com, however you should know that replacing the lx header will remove the cat (which is part of the stock header). So unless you don't care about passing emissions, I would look at a different mod or change to an EX exahust system so you can use the header for that. On the ex, the cat is located after the header and downpipe.

the ex header will fit, but you need to change the rest of the exhaust to match. Otherwise get the lx kamikaze header and lose your cat if it's not a big deal. You'll feel a difference.

Are you sure? Based on my experience, the check engine light will stay on until either: (1) you disconnect the battery or (2) you go to the dealership and have them reset it. The problem is it will come back on. There are two oxygen sensors in our exhaust system, without the Cat, at least one of the two sensors will set off the check engine light.

yes that is what the 02 sim is for. The sensor that gets removed is ONLY required for telling the ecu that the cat is working. It has no effect on performance. An 02 sim will fool the ecu into thinking everything is a-okay with that sensor and fool it by sending the voltage signal to say the cat is working. So you hook up the 02 sim, reset the battery, and the light stays off.

Header. Singular. You don't get a "set of headers" for an I4.
But if you do get headers, and you have an EX, see the DIY link in my sig for help installing.
edit - I can't read the title of this thread. You have an LX. Nevermind.

lx kamikaze does not come with a cat.
if you change to an ex header, you need the ex downpipe and cat, then I think you can just buy a catback exhaust for the ex (or find a stock ex exhaust). You're basically swapping the entire exhaust piping I think.

ok i see, i allready have a pipe(axel back) i was wanting to get a (ex)header. and have 2.5 inch exhaust ran, what would i have to buy to still have a cat? im still just a bit confused (sorry)

the exhaust you have now will have to be modified to fit an ex header and ex cat. Refer to those pics I posted.
If you have an EX, the cat is at the bottom of the car after the header and downpipe. On the lx, the cat is actually built into the header. Replacing the header on an ex is a simple swap. Replacing the lx header is also easy, but aftermarket headers don't come with a cat like the stock one does. If you convert your lx exhaust to an ex exhaust, you can buy an ex header and all the other components of the ex including the cat, which will now be under the car. Either way, it will be better than what you have stock. Your current exhaust (custom?) will have to be changed if you do decide to run an ex header and downpipe with cat. lx and ex have different exhaust systems.

yes, the 02 sim is designed to bypass the sensor that says the cat is working. It won't affect anything else. You can try by pulling out the intake air temp plug and see if the cel comes on. I'm sure it would.
