alright well recently i got tired of the sound of my magnaflow cat back so i took it to a shop and had the rear knocked off and a flowmaster rear section put on and it sounded good. it had a low tone and no buzziness to it at all like the magnaflow...well i put on my header..an obx/kamikaze replica... and to my surprise it was just as good performance wise as my kamikaze was when i had it. the down side is now it sounds like a damn weedeater and it is pissing me off because it sounded sooo good. now i was wondering since i have an lx and the cat is now gone if i got a high flow cat put in will it get rid of the buzziness or do you think it may be the magnaflow resonator is crap and if so can you buy aftermarket resonators? also if someone says put stock resonator on well i can't i don't have stock exhaust anymore.

Buy one of those bullet resonators that they sell at exhaust shops. Some people even say to try those cherry bomb mufflers that are like straight through and just weld that on somewhere in between ur header and other mufflers. That should take care of it imo.

hhmm ok well i'll see what i can find and i went to a shop in my area who said that they can re do al my piping as well sense it rattles sometimes and he said somethin about the original piping didn't match up well with the flowmaster rear section and is why sometimes if i hit a big hole i'll hear it knock against the back. so if anyone knows anything else i could do let me know. as of now i guess the deal is i'm going to redo piping and use a bullet resonator or one of those mufflers.

cherry bomb muffler is a resonator BTW. i've seen both. they're exactly the same.

here's a few questions:

1. where can i find either one of these resonators online? i find the cherry bomb one on ebay, but it had a 2" inlet/outlet size.

2. if i get that one on ebay maybe i could do 2'' pipe instead of 2.25", but if i do, do you think it will rob any power? i'm thinkin no but to let you know i have cai, header, the exhaust, 75 shot of nitrous, and i'll be getting pullies from a member asap and i have my crower cam regrind and a pnp head to put in within the next month.
