Hey, which exhaust would you guys recommend? I am deciding on whether Tanabe or Greddy. I want one with deep sound but not too loud.

stock exhaust. But I guess if you like noise, go with thermal for deep tone or greddy is okay too.

If you're looking for sound, go with the Greddy. The Tanabe is louder and I personally dont like how it sounds on most of the cars that I have heard. The Tanabe is going to have 2.25" piping I'm pretty sure. I dunno about the Greddy, but I think it may have near the same diameter. If you're going with turbo or nitrous, I wouldnt go with either one honestly IMO. I have a 2.5" mandrel bent stainless cat-back exhaust w/ 2.5" down pipe both made by megan racing and while it may be cheaper, I think it probably does a better job.

Well if you want deep but not to loud go with the HKS Hyper Exhaust. I have it and everyone loves it. Whenever I go to the dealership (spl of my friends work there) alll the people wjho work there like it because when you turn the car on it starts with a little gumble then dies off and around 3k-5k its a nice grumble, not ricey at all, then anove 5k when your getting on it it kinda get a little more high pitch then mixes in with your intake (if you have one). Alot of my freinds say I have the best exhaust they've ever heard so.. =)

stock is fine since only you will gain like 2hp from changing it but between those options the greddy evo2 is my favorite

The skunk2 is my favorite also, but the piping is also only 2.25", but the megan cat back looks just like it, its cheaper, and it has 2.5" piping so thats why I chose it instead.

To big of piping and you'll lose low end torque.. personally I think 2.25" is still to big.

GS-R exhaust? you mean off the integra gsr oem exhaust or is their a exhaust named GS-R? if so, link me. never heard of it =\

2.5" is fat piping for an N/A 1.7L civic. thats more appropiate for turbo applications and/or ppl who want deep loud notes comming out of their pipes. 2.25" is just right IMO for n/a. factory is 1.75" i believe.

I know what you guys are saying but, I never noticed any low-end power loss when I put my downpipe and cat back on. Regardless of wether I'm using my bottle or running allmotor, actually I noticed an increase throughout the entire powerband compared to stock it seemed like to me.

^^I dont like it. It looks like a factory exhaust system with a tip attached. Just like a GSR which is fine but its not my style. When people look at it though, something tells me they arent going to be thinking of the GSR anyway. Plus it doesnt tell you the piping diameter.
